Welcome to Leatherhead and District NCT. We are an active local branch of the National Childbirth Trust, a charity that helps parents to have an experience of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood that enriches their lives and gives them confidence in being parents.

The branch covers Ashtead, Leatherhead, Headley, Fetcham, Bookham, Oxshott, Effingham and the Horsleys. It is manned by volunteers, usually women who have benefited from their membership to the NCT and want to give something back. With all the practical skills which the Committee members have learnt through their careers and experiences with their own children, along with the support of the local health visitors and qualified teachers, we hope to offer practical support, information and friendship.

If you are expecting a baby then come on our antenatal classes. They are a great way of preparing for motherhood and making friends with other local women in the same position as you. If you're already got babies and children, then check out the local activities, postnatal courses and support available in the area. We run nearly new sales during the year where you can find great bargains for everything you need when you're having a baby or have one already.

If you'd like to get involved please contact us as we would love to meet you and there are plenty of ways in which you can help ranging from assisting at our twice-yearly Nearly New Sales to training as an antenatal teacher and a whole raft of things in between. We have several key positions open on the committee at the moment and would love to hear from interested parties. What we offer: the opportunity to work with a great team of girls, regular meetings to share ideas, challenges and fun, involvement in social events, whatever you want to make of it. Don't be scared of being lumbered - we'll all volunteers together and if you ever need back up, everyone helps out. And you can always share a role with a friend.
